For many years, CityClub and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer co-hosted a Jefferson Awards luncheon. We formed a panel of judges, took nominations, chose winners - one of whom goes on to the National Jefferson Awards competition - and held a luncheon in their honor. It has been an annual and cherished event.

VANCOUVER, Wash. - She's cute, smart, and registered as a lethal weapon in the state of Washington. Seventeen-year-old Dallas Jessup of Vancouver, Wash. is launching a one-woman assault on violence against girls.

Just Yell Fire in India. Dallas Jessup, Chad Von Dette, and Vasanth Kuppuswamy brought Just Yell Fire to the girls in 12 colleges througout Southern India in August of 2008. The tour taught girls how to escape abduction for human trafficking.
